Kristin McCurry, Founder of MINDset direct, is a 25 year veteran of nonprofit fundraising. Since founding MINDset direct in 2005, Kristin has partnered with the nation’s most vibrant and visionary charities including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Disabled American Veterans, Catholic Relief Services, American Red Cross, The Nature Conservancy, ASPCA and others. Her passion for her work is fueled by how much she enjoys working with smart, dedicated client partners.
Prior to MINDset direct, Kristin provided direction and strategic management as Vice President for Epsilon’s Washington, DC fundraising office. She also served as the National Director of Direct Marketing for the American Cancer Society. Kristin began her career as a major gifts officer and brings that view to much of the work she does for MINDset client partners.
Kristin has been dedicated to the fundraising community and has served in a variety of ways including long tenure on the Direct Marketing Association of Washington Board, including as President. She has been an ongoing supporter of the Bridge to Integrated Marketing and Fundraising Conference, including serving as Chair, and is has been active with the Advisory Council for the Direct Marketing Association’s Nonprofit Federation and the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association (DMFA). As an industry thought-leader, she is a frequent spokesperson and her viewpoints and case studies have been published in a variety of publications including The Non Profit Times, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and Fundraising Success. She is also a frequent lecturer and educator for the DMA Nonprofit Federation, AFP, DMFA and DMAW and at leading universities including Georgetown and George Washington University.
She lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband Charlie and their very bossy dachshund, Buckley.
