Senior Account Director

The MINDset direct Senior Account Director plays a key, proactive role in driving direct response fundraising and advocacy strategy from inception through to completion for several clients. The Senior Account Director must effectively collaborate with MINDset colleagues, our clients, and our creative and production partners, to ensure the on-time execution of multiple concurrent projects. This role requires a self-motivated individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, a broad-ranged understanding of fundraising strategies, and the ability to develop & execute strategy, and manage production.

Experience and Capabilities:

  • 8+ years relevant work experience in direct response fundraising, strategic planning and data analysis
  • Excellent organizational and project/time management skills – must be able to handle multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Ability to work with a variety of partners and clients
  • Ability to independently establish and manage to work priorities
  • Work independently as well as part of a team
  • Solution-focused
  • Excellent communications skills

Specifically:

  • Ability to work in matrix managed team setting
  • Lead client relationship manager
  • Complete management and execution of fully integrated, multi-channel direct response program

Account Director

Account Director Job Description

The Account Director role requires a self-motivated individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, a broad-ranged understanding of fundraising strategies, and the ability to drive schedules, execute creative strategy, and manage production.

Experience and Capabilities:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in direct response fundraising, project management and/or production coordination
  • Excellent organizational and project/time management skills – must be able to handle multiple projects and competing priorities

Specifically:

Production:

  • Manage schedules and timelines
  • Coordinate with creative and copy partners from kick off through final client approval
  • Prepare production/design templates from strategic kick off including components, specs, tests, controls
  • Outline package codes for tests and controls
  • Coordinate production kick off meetings
  • Coordinate scanline approvals (either bank or internal)Coordinate and follow up on samples
  • Data management knowledge, including:
    • Providing data and personalization instructions to production partners
    • Coordinating acquisition merge/purge process and data splits
    • Coordinating housefile segmentation and mail plans
    • Review and approve file counts and laser sign offs
  • Main contact with client on

Administrative Support (part-time)

The Administrative Support position at MINDset plays an important role in the support of the MINDset direct agency, as well as senior staff who lead the company.  This individual will play a key role in the administrative tasks that are necessary for organizational success and will help optimize our overall team’s bandwidth by taking ownership of some of the administrative tasks currently being done by members of the MINDset direct team.

 

Senior Team Support

  • Book upcoming client/industry travel to include airline, hotel and car rentals as necessary
    • Identify and secure reservations/meals for client meetings as directed
  • Coordinate and submit monthly AMEX and/or Expense Reports for company owners
  • Staffing Support
    • Coordinate interviews with prospective new staff as directed
    • Secure meeting space for interviews

 

Organizational Support

  • Billing & Invoicing Management
    • Work with MINDset’s external accounting partner to help manage the billing process
    • Serve as a liaison between the MINDset direct staff and the external accounting firm to create a streamlined billing process
  • Coordinate & Oversee MINDset direct’s Human Resources Platform
    • Update staff information as requested
    • Communicate with MINDset direct team regarding important deadlines, etc.
    • Provide analytics and other reports as requested
  • Serve as liaison between MINDset direct staff and external partners
    • Insurance brokers
    • Computer & IT services
  • Maintain Company Conference Call Lines
    • Maintain listing of all company conference call lines to include individual staff access codes
      • Assign new staff/clients specific access codes
    • Troubleshoot and problem-solve conference line challenges and problems; may include researching alternate calling options
  • Maintain Employee Handbook
    • Work with Senior Team to update and distribute as needed
  • Support Company Meetings
    • Secure meeting space
    • Identify and arrange for relevant meals/snacks
    • Secure staff appreciation gifts as directed
  • Support Account Teams
    • Proofreading
    • Coordination of meeting materials
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Support Client Services
    • Coordinate and secure client appreciation gifts as directed
  • Maintain MSD Sample Library
    • Work with Account Teams to coordinate and maintain client sample libraries
  • Maintain MSD Testing Library
    • Coordinate with MSD Account Teams to maintain an organizational testing document to track and document test initiatives and outcomes executed across client teams
  • Support MSD Attendance/Participation in Industry Conferences
    • Maintain listing of all industry conferences, both local and national, to include key dates such as registration, session proposals and travel deadlines
    • Maintain ongoing conference tracking spreadsheet to include proposals submitted, awarded and spoken/completed
  • Maintain MSD client list – to include organizational contact information
    • Coordinate holiday mailings as directed
  • Maintain MSD Administrative Forms on Sugar Sync
    • Make necessary updates as directed
  • Other duties as assigned
